Denver, CO — August 1, 2026 — CardPrintz today released Contact for Android, the companion application for programming CardPrintz dual-chip NFC business cards. Contact is available now on Google Play.
CardPrintz manufactures NFC business cards built on a dual-chip architecture. Contact is the software that programs them — writing vCard data to the card's tag, individually or in batches, and updating that data at any point in the card's life.
The result is a business card whose contents are not fixed at print time. A title change, a new mobile number, a move to a different division: the card is reprogrammed in seconds rather than reprinted.
Programming at individual and organizational scale
Single-card programming. Enter contact details and write them to a card in one tap. The card carries a complete vCard — name, title, company, phone, email, address — which transfers to any NFC-capable phone without the recipient installing anything.
Batch programming. Import a roster and program an entire run in one session. Practical for onboarding a sales organization, issuing badges before a conference, or distributing cards across a franchise network. Progress is tracked per card, and the run can be paused, resumed, or restarted.
Reprogramming. Cards are not consumed by their first write. Details are updated on the same physical card as often as needed, with an optional permanent lock when a card's contents are final.
Capture, not only distribution
Contact reads as well as writes. Tapping a card received from someone else pulls their details into the app. Paper cards are photographed and their details extracted automatically through on-device text recognition. QR codes are read the same way.
Captured contacts route to the user's own CRM through a webhook endpoint they configure. Leads collected at an event reach the pipeline the same day.
Data stays where it belongs
Contact contains no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party tracking. Contact records and card data remain on the device. Nothing is transmitted to CardPrintz. When a CRM is connected, data moves directly to infrastructure the customer owns.
This reflects an engineering standard applied across CardPrintz products rather than a policy statement. For organizations handling confidential client relationships, where contact data resides is a material question.
Contact is fully functional offline. Network connectivity is an enhancement, never a requirement.
Availability
Contact for Android is available now on Google Play. A direct APK is offered for organizations requiring installation outside the Play Store.
Contact works with CardPrintz dual-chip NFC business cards and with standard NTAG213, NTAG215, and NTAG216 tags.
